BRICS+: Current Agenda was established on the initiative of the BRICS Network University (BRICS NU). The institution responsible for publishing the journal is the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia named after Patrice Lumumba (RUDN University).

Aim. To establish an international expert platform for analyzing processes unfolding in the contemporary BRICS space and for publishing works thematically aligned with the core competences of university-based authors; to promote the research outputs of academic staff; to maintain and strengthen the reputation of BRICS NU; and to ensure scholarly and information exchange with leading global research and education centers.

The journal is intended:

  • To broaden knowledge of current socio-political and economic trends in BRICS countries;

  • To publish original research articles presenting the outcomes of initiatives and research results in the following areas: international relations and world politics; international economic relations; and cooperation among BRICS universities in the context of the distinctive socio-cultural development of BRICS countries;

  • To create favorable conditions for improving the quality and international standing of research by BRICS scholars in the social sciences and humanities within the global academic community;

  • To consolidate the creative and scholarly potential of researchers from different countries around the theme of socio-economic development in BRICS countries and their foreign trade partners.
